Well the kids went out to tea last night and ended up with the best ribs in New York, they then found themselves in some dodgy Speakeasy, these establishments sprang up in the 20s and 30s in an effort to beat the Prohibition Laws. They are a bit of an attraction these days with lots of atmosphere. By all accounts they were well behaved but got home sometime after midnight.
Up early to get to the front of the line at One World building, we had bought tickets yesterday after we got home so we had to make the effort. Amanda stayed home with the grandkids, the rest of us rode the subway down to the World Trade Centre, when we walked out on to the street there was snow falling - only a light flurry but it stayed with us until we got to the top of the building, finally clearing a little after coffee at the top. Consequently the photos have a snowy look about them. It is very very cold today!!
We then met Amanda at the Bloomberg building to check out where Harley works. He is on the 15th floor with a nice view from his office area. We then went up to the 29th floor where they have a meal room - like no meal room you've ever seen before - all free with coffee machines, toasters, snacks, fruit, soft drink machine, all laid out ready for anyone who wishes to partake. I think Bloomberg employees are a bit spoilt.
Had lunch and had made plans for us all to have a bike ride around Central Park, it is bitterly cold so we may put that off till tomorrow if the snow doesn't set in!!?? Pam, Harley, Luke, Emily and I walked home through Central Park, Chris has a very bad cold so he, Amanda and the kids took the short way home straight up Lexington.
